Jax Sportify is happy and excited to introduce Indoor cricket - a first of its kind in Jacksonville. Indoor Cricket, often referred as Box cricket is a thrilling version of traditional cricket. The box cricket is played with unique rules and regulations to add excitement to this unique game. Playing cricket in an enclosed space comes with its own challenges, and box cricket takes this into account with unique rules put in place to make the game fairer for both teams in action. A truly fun version is open for all genders - juniors (>6), and adults - men and women of all ages. It promotes a collaborative & team environment among players and is non-judgemental - players of any skill level can participate. Promotional Pricing:

1-Hour Package - Max of 14 players - $100.00 (incl. tax)

2-Hours Package - Max of 20 players - $180.00 (incl. tax)

Hourly Rates (non-members):

5-players (minimum) - $60 ($12/person)

6 to 10 players - $10/person

Hourly Rates (members):

All-Star - $0 (Included)

Blitz/ Lite - $6/person

Basic/Basic+ - $8/person

* Non-members joining members will pay non-member hourly price depending on the total number of players mentioned above.

* For hourly package, if the group has 75% Members, then they can avail 20% off on the package.

Box Cricket Format & Rules for tournament:

  • Team & Match format:

    8 overs, 6 players a side (1 extra player per team), only 6 players allowed to play in court includes Wicket keeper.

  • Over per bowler limit: Over-arm throw (no regular bowling or run up) - only 2 bowlers can bowl max 2 Overs, rest get to bowl only 1 over.

  • First Over Rule: 1st over is super over. Double over (with the points scored by the team doubled including wide and No ball) if wicket – double over will be canceled and deducted -1 for wicket.

  • Wide ball rules:

    • Wide ball 1 runs penalty to the team.

  • No Ball rules:

    • Full toss above waist is a no-ball, ball not counted, 2 runs penalty, and next ball is a free hit.

    • 1st bouncer over shoulder height allowed with warning to bowler (Per over)

    • 2nd bouncer over shoulder height is consider no ball - 2 runs penalty, and next is a ball free hit.

    • 2 no balls are allowed with penalty and 3rd no ball in the same over, bowler will be disqualified.

    • Final decision will rest with the umpire.

  • Boundaries:

    • Fours: Beyond marked pillars, and below horizontal yellow line.

    • Sixes: Same as fours, except above horizontal yellow line.

    • Fly through shots will be counted as four or six based on 1st impact point

    • Over throws to the fence can result in 4's and 6's.

    • Bowling out of mat/pitch area – No Ball.

    • No Run – if ball goes beyond wickets even if first impact before wickets.

  • Catches:

    • Out - Direct catches, direct after re-bounce from side walls, & celling

    • Granted Runs – Re-bounce from marked areas of back straight wall - 2s, 4s or 6s.

  • LBW:

    • No LBW outs, No Leg bye.

  • Other rules: 

    • If a wicket falls, the batting team will receive penalties, typically resulting in a deduction 1 run.

    • The last ball of the innings is a jackpot ball, with the points scored by the team doubled. If it is a dismissal, the negative points are also doubled.

    • Wicket keeper is mandatory

    • Last batsman allowed, player has to run for 2 runs or above. Single run not allowed for Last batsman.

    • In case of Tie, Super Over will be played.

  • Admin Rules:

    • All players must wear clean non marking shoes. players are requested to come in sportswear.

    • All players must report at venue 15 minutes before game start.

    • Umpire decisions are final & irrevocable. Arguments with umpire will lead to player/team disqualification. This will be strictly followed.

    • Matches will be played with very soft tennis ball.

    PROFANITY/CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL/ DRUNKEN TEAM MEMBERS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED ON THE FIELD
